Few sights are more recognisably Sydney than the smiling entrance to Luna Park. For more than 80 years, the heritage-listed amusement park has welcomed visitors to its iconic harbourside location.
MKP is proud to have supported Luna Park Sydney as it invested in the future of this much-loved destination.
MKP helped finance Luna Park’s $36 million upgrade, which included nine new state-of-the-art rides and improvements to existing attractions.
The project continued a relationship between MKP and Luna Park spanning more than two decades. It also represented an important investment in the future of Sydney’s tourism and entertainment industry.
At the time, NSW Minister for Jobs, Investment and Tourism Stuart Ayres described the project as a significant boost for Sydney’s economy, supporting hundreds of jobs, local tourism and the state’s economic recovery following COVID-19.
A project of this scale required more than access to funding. It required a finance partner prepared to understand the legislation, research, commercial strategy and objectives behind each new attraction.
MKP tailored its Loan Arrangement Services to Luna Park’s specific requirements, establishing a transparent agreement with fixed fees, clearly defined deliverables, agreed timeframes and measurable outcomes.
This structured approach helped Luna Park secure the funding needed to deliver what its Managing Director described as a “special project”.
